FAQ

What is CHHMP?

The Columbia-Harlem Homeless Medical Partnership (CHHMP) is a student-run clinic providing free and quality health services to the homeless and uninsured community in West Harlem. This project was established in May 2007 by Columbia University medical students in partnership with the Center for Family and Community Medicine.

Do I need an appointment?

No!  CHHMP is a free walk-in clinic open between 5:30-7:30 every Tuesday evening.  Everyone will be seen regardless of insurance status or housing status. For patients under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must be present at the first visit, unless the patient is only presenting for an HIV test.  The dental clinic is open on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6-7:30.
